Product Description and Development
A collection of wooden hearts and crosses was developed based on the Worry Stone concept, which involves creating a small, comfortable object designed to be held and interacted with by hand, providing a simple tactile experience associated with calm and relaxation.
The design features a carved recess within the olive wood heart or cross, creating a space for incorporating natural and symbolic elements such as soil from Palestine, an olive branch, a dried flower, or incense.
In this way, the element placed within the carved recess becomes part of each piece’s composition and story. This approach allows for the creation of a diverse collection in which each piece carries a distinct meaning depending on the element incorporated, while maintaining olive wood as the primary material.
The small size and portability of the pieces also make them suitable as Palestinian gifts or souvenirs, combining everyday use with handcrafted design and cultural symbolism.
